Liza graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and was selected as Outstanding Civil Engineering student by the department faculty. Liza became a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas in 2003.

As a Project Engineer at AEI Engineering, Inc., she consults for Municipal Utility Districts in the Houston area, overseeing the expansion, maintenance, and on-going operation of water and wastewater systems. In addition, she trains and oversees staff engineers in the creation of client municipal utility bond and permit applications.

Liza has been actively involved in the Greater Houston Chapter of TSPE for more than five years. She currently serves as the Director of the Greater Houston Chapter and Scholarship Committee chair.
